I am overwhelmed by all the e-mails I got and I am getting and thus I
decided to break my vow of silence for few lines 6 months ahead of my
self-imposed sabbatical to say thank you. I am hoping to fast right
away to get forgiveness for my sin. In any case thank you all.
But, I think there is another Dehaier who deserves even more
congratulations than myself. Dr. Ephrem Tecle, our Dehai list
maintainer. As we all know Ephrem is the only person who has carried
the whole burden of running Dehai admin's job. Yet with all his work
for Dehai he also managed to do an excellent job as a chemist. Dr.
Ephrem also got his tenure as a research chemist at the National
Institute of Health (NIH). Getting tenure with the NIH requires more
hard work and passing through more bureaucracy than the one year of
torture in Academia. Ephrem congratulation and please don't hate me
for this. It is aya Tesfay's fault; I didn't expect him to expose me,
he did, and terekab yAdyo Hney nabaKa efedi aleKu.
My heart felt Congratulations also to all graduates of 1996-1997.
