I am sure most of Dehaiers remember the late 70' and early 80's when the
Russians and Cubans flooded the cities of Ethiopia. Well, during this time one
of Mengistu's so called cadres was sent to attend a six month course to a
European country. In the school the Ethiopian cadre befriended a Russian and
an American. One day the three of them drove to a nearby beach, once they got
their they decided to take a stroll by the sea side. In the middle of their
conversing and walking the American suddenly stopped and proceeded to take off
his American made denim jacket and said " I got a lot of this in my country"
and he threw the jacket into the ocean. The Russian also took off his Russian
made fur coat and threw it into the ocean and said " I got plenty of that in
my country" The Ethiopian stood their lost in thought for a moment then he
took a deep breath and grabbed the Russian guy and lifted him up over his
head, WHOOSH hurled him into the ocean, saying " I got a lot of that in my
country!"
