Note: This joke makes a lot more sense to those who speak amaharic.

Mengistu and Fikresellasie flew to London to attend a certain heads of
State function. All the leaders agreed that a cigar and brandy session
was in order before the start of talks. Each participant was served a
glass of brandy and two sticks of fine Havana cigars. Fikresellasie,
perplexed and unaware, asked Mengistu " Ere guad Likemember yhe neger
endet new yemibelaw? " Mengistu, angry that such a high ranking officer
could be so uncultured, curtly replied "EyaTekesk Bla atawarden."
