Hello Dehaiers,
As a member of the Eritrean cyber community, it has only been a pleasure
to watch what goes on and about in those intersting and sometimes conflicting
conversations that go on day to day. Personally, I use Dehai to reley
messages to all that are interested in getting information. Before I
officialy joined Dehai, I made it clear to myself that I needed to see
what it was all about, and waited for over 6 months untill I posted my
first article. I thought that it was better to be silent than get into
some of the unnecessary conversations that took place.
After attending the retreats for the past two years, I met so many
people who felt the same way I did. But I gathered my thoughts for a long
time and I came up with a conclusion that I only! REPEAT ONLY! use dehai
to provide information that can only be helpful. Never will I respond back
to any political views of others who have their own agenda nor will I
waste my time reading the issues that we can't solve on Dehai by arguing
for weeks and sometimes months.
With this in mind, I also would like to suggest to the older
Dehaiers that there are so many Young Dehaiers that join our precious
organization and they leave or cancell out because of the discussions
that go on. Yes! USE DEHAI to express your feelings, but please be
courteous to all. Remember there are also others who watch us to see
what kind of a community we are.
I am writing this because I really LOVE Dehai and what it stands for
and in leau of the recent discussions regarding religion, political problems
back home and other issues, I urge you to USE DEHAI FOR A PURPOSE!
THANK YOU TO ALL!
